>> Connection Dance Center 2022

Eight young amateur dancers were selected for the first Connection Dance Center and trained & rehearsed weekly. The rehearsals led to the micro-performance „RAUM“ (SPACE), which was performed together with an open rehearsal in various venues in Hannnover:in the Eisfabrik as part of [NEO]tanz:offensiv, in the VHS Hannover as well as in the Kesselhaus Linden.

Parallel to this, the young dancers learned choreographies by Jirí Kylián, Paul Lightfoot & Sol León and Marco Goecke – as part of “WIR SAGEN UNS DUNKLES”– by sitting in on classes at the Staatsballett Hannover.

Connection Dance Center 2022 went from February to early July 2022.

Sitting in on classes at the Staatsballett Hannover – from 07 February to 10 February as part of WIR SAGEN UNS DUNKLES; choreographies from Jiří Kylián, Paul Lightfoot & Sol León and Marco Goecke. We visit classes and rehearsals in the ballett hall as well as on stage, together with the ballet ensemble and the chorographers.

Special Guest on 14 July – Jörg Mannes,
former ballet director of the Staatsballett Hannover and current ballet director at the Theater Magdeburg. Choreographic work with the repertoire of Jörg Mannes.

,,RAUM” (SPACE)

In this piece we search for our own space, we discover and shape it, through our own space we relate to others, share it and transform it.

These new eight identities merge together and create a whole new and unique space.
