The new edition of WANDERUNG will take place in the spring of 2027. Throughweekly rehearsals, workshops, and creative encounters, a space will be created where dance and music are interwoven. Participants will gain insights into professional creative processes, develop their own material, and actively contribute to shaping the collaborative performance. The project will conclude with a public performance that brings together the resulting works.

Are you between 17 and 29 years old and interested in expressing yourself through dance? Do you want to discover new things, move your body, try new things, and be creative together with others?

Then apply to participate in WANDERUNG 2027!

For three months, we will work closely together, dance, explore, and experiment. Together, we will immerse ourselves in the language of dance and discover everything that surrounds it: movement, the body, space, creativity, and togetherness.

I’m Mónica García Vicente, the artistic director of WANDERUNG, and I look forward to getting to know you, discovering your perspective, and diving into this artistic process together with you.

You need curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to try something new. No prior experience is necessary—what’s important is that you’re ready to move and discover your own way of expressing yourself.

For WANDERUNG 2027, there will be two auditions with Mónica García Vicente and Loris Zambon. The participants for WANDERUNG 2027 will then be selected.

Following the successful Connection Dance Center project over the past four years, we are now embarking on a new journey:

WANDERUNG is an interdisciplinary project between the mónica garcía vicente DANCE PROJECT and the Bremen music collective The HEADs Ensemble.

Sixteen young amateur dancers from Hanover are embarking on an artistic exploration together with musicians from Bremen—a journey through sound, movement, and memory.

WANDERUNG will take place in spring 2026. Weekly rehearsals, workshops, and creative encounters will create a space in which dance and music are interwoven. Participants will gain insights into professional work processes, develop their own material, and actively contribute to the joint performance. The project will conclude with a public performance in which the resulting works will be brought together.

The project WANDERUNG by choreographer Mónica Garcia Vicente and the Bremen-based music collective The HEADs, consisting of Melissa Wedekind and Hans Fröhlich, combines dance and music in an interdisciplinary dialogue and takes walking as the starting point for an artistic exploration of human movement. Walking and hiking are presented not only as physical experiences, but also as metaphors for freedom, departure, transformation, memory, and migration.

Through collaboration, an experimental space emerges where different artistic languages converge: body, sound, and movement intertwine to form a shared form of expression. Emerging dancers and musicians from both cities are invited to actively shape the artistic process. The project becomes a shared journey of exploration, during which participants expand their own expressive potential and gain insights into professional artistic practices.
